Of stars that were colourful..

Once again, a very Happy Deepavali!! or Happy Diwali!!! (as you like it!)

If you are reading this post, it means you had a nice and safe Diwali, and I hope it was exciting and happy too 🙂

Our Diwali morning went off rather quietly (I had to go out on some work, so ‘Knight and Baby Hunk’ – read ‘Hubby and Kid’ remained indoors), but the evening was lovely. A new friend had invited us over for a fireworks party, and OH MY! What a range of fireworks there was, and all by the banks of the river Thames.

Also, this is my little boy’s first active Deepavali…meaning, he was a real baby until now, so didn’t actively participate with the crackers et al, but yesterday was different. The first time I showed him a sparkler, he RAN!! I had to chase him and bring him back. Slowly, he got into the groove of things, and by the end of the evening, he had held four sparklers, and had watched open-mouthed, amazed at the countless colourful, sparkling stars that lit up the cloudess night sky.

My only crib is that we didn’t have the foresight to have the camera ready. I wish we had taken a couple of pictures!

[Special thanks to little Pixie, for suggesting that we make fond memories of our first Diwali away from home].

Far and away…(and Awards et al)

I’ve been away for so long. And nobody missed me 😦

Btw, I’ve been in a very non-www mood of late. Just too many things keeping me pre-occupied. But we did have a very nice weekend in Brussels…to celebrate our 6th Wedding Anniversary 🙂 Pics later.

I was thrilled to see Hitchy bhai’s interview on Blogadda, and PRG’s post on Driving License on Blogadda’s Tangy Tuesday Picks.

And totally J of seeing Pixie, Mon and gang meeting up in the real world. Anybody on this part of the world ? Pliss to let me know!

Oh, and THANKS a ton, Dmanji, for some lovely awards from you. Bless you with many more 🙂

On awards (Thanks, Pix)

I am very much like Aamir Khan..I do not accept awards. The reason: Because I do not receive any. Ha ha ha.

And just when I was beginning to lose all hope of ever being able to reject an award, dear Pixie sent me these. Thank you, Pixie, for the awards… these are my very first awards since I started blogging a year ago. I very much appreciate it.

I would like to award the nice shiny silver cup to Ozzy, Shubha, Moggies, Roopa, Yuva, Ratna, Supriya, Shail, Pavithra.

The ‘Blogger for Peace’ is formally awarded to RituCastelgard, Unchaahi and Ganga.
