The picture says it all 🙂
PS 1: My dearest and most adorable non-Chennai friends – Please oh puhleez don’t call this DO-SA. It is a DosaI 🙂 🙂 🙂
One of my best friends back in college used to say ‘DosA and Sambhurr’. Had she not been so dear to me, I could have killed her Every time she massacred the word DosaI by calling it a DosA. Its like me saying ‘Barota’ instead of ‘Parantha’ 😛
PS 2: Day 1 of Project 365 is right here, in case you wish to know what this project is about.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr……. Shilllllpaaaaaaaaaaaa………………..no more dosai for you!
I hate to interrupt but dosa or dosai depends on which part of south India u are in 🙂
yummy pic btw!
I agree, thats why madame, that note was for non-Chennai-ite friends 🙂
coz in Kerala its dho-sha 🙂 thats how we pronounce it…
Ouuuuu 😦 how could you!!!!!!
All south indians call it dosai- or dose in kannada, pronounced the same! 😛
Ah finally, someone agrees!!!!
Yummy…interesting…
is Project 365 about your breakfast for next 365 days.;-)..would love that as well!!!…new recipes, nice looking ones too..and anyways..you would be making it everyday of the year..given that why not take some compliments for it as well(if not from hubby dear…the buddies dear will definitely be more genorous)..
LOL, hubby compliments by default, even before tasting. Whattay good training no? 🙂
Making gothumai dosai for dinner today :-))
http://travellerspeaks.blogspot.com/2011/02/project-365-day-2-amethyst.html
Oh saary madame, I hate gothumai 😦 But I hope you enjoyed it 🙂
hahah.. well, for us it was either that or upma.. 🙂 and gramma chose dosai.. i like it 🙂
Ha ha 🙂
Now, thats what I call a perfect bfast – yummy dosai and following it up with kaapi… 🙂 😀
Project 365 seems to be keeping u busy huh !!! 🙂 🙂
Oh yes Uma, this is the bestest breakfast ever!!!! Yeah, this project is atleast getting me to visit my blog every day!!
😥 😥 We had Amoeba shaped Dosai for dinner yday 😥
Please tell me sonny made it!
Na…it was yours truly 😥
Oh shame shame puppy shame 🙂
Oh yum! beats the cereal and soy milk I have everyday!
Oh no… soy milk sounds yucky 😦 Cereal is yummy though. I love cornflakes 🙂
Coffee and Dosai in the morning were absolute bliss!!! 🙂 🙂
Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and the podi makes it very special.. I will have any number with dosai and podi combination.. 🙂 🙂
Yay me too, me too 🙂
Funny you say that…as far as I can remember, I’ve always said dosa…and we are south indian. 😛 So go ahead…kill me.
LOL, no that’s why I said non-Chennai-ite friends and not non-Southy friends 🙂
Filter kaapi…mmm…if there’s one thing I miss greatly about India, it’s filter kaapi. You can get every other Indian meal at restaurants here but not the filter coffee!
Oh! But PB, try the regular French Roast if you get it anywhere, it is supposedly as good as filter kaapi.
its Dosai eh ?? I say dosa !! I am a great fan of Tamil recipes .
Yes babe, it is!!!
I ve been correcting myself on Barotta and Buri since teens 😉
LOL, I remember the Barottas too. A friend of mine used to say Boori-masaal 🙂 What fun!!
Fiter kaapi !!ah !! coffee has an English taste isn’t it ? it reminds me of hospitals , long wait , singed tongue and things like that 😛
Ohhh myyy, what an association with the word ‘coffee’. You ought to write a post on this, Ash.
‘kaapi’ reminds me of relaxed evenings , sunday mornings , home , family ,grand mother…
Awww…..
hmm yummy.. I like this project 365 idea 🙂 will get some nice pics to look at everyday Pals..
We call it dos”e” (“e” as in “e”nergy).. we are south Indians.. I guess the pronounciation varies then 🙂
He he, atleast dose is not dosaaa 🙂
Pal, I think you’re gonna end up just doing this Project 365. And no other writeup.
Not saying the idea’s bad… but whole year… boring nahi ho jayega?
Oh Kshitij, I loved the idea, but after reading your comment, I’m in doubt too. But no, I actually think this is atleast getting me to post ‘something’ on my much neglected blog. And yes, there are some posts lying in drafts, which I will surely post now, atleast to contradict you 😛 😛
What? Its not Dosa??
*runs away!* 😀
😆 😆 Please come back!!! Call it whatever you want, but do come back!
A dosai by any other name would taste as good. Too late for breakfast now, but I know what I am having for lunch today.
Love the Project365 idea.
Ha ha, I’m sure it would! But hey, I’ve contributed my two cents towards propagating the correct pronunciation of dosaI 😆
Haha…Me just had Masala dosai today for dinner! Not a great fan of filter kaapi though!
Awesome, Anu. Actually I don’t like filter kaapi much either, that’s why I chose Nescafe 😉 But yeah, on special occasions, I do prefer filter kaapi just to remind me of Chennai 🙂
I’ll make it clear! I don’t like coffee and its smell! But S, on the other hand, is a coffee freak! He loves filter kaapi, and normally end up having atleast 10 tumblers of kaapis a day while in chennai!!
He he he!!!!
i hate you.
Arre oh, get your pati to make it for u, and stop hating me 😉
I have some batter in the fridge… need to try this grated carrot in it deal 🙂 Sounds yummy
Could also add some finely chopped onions Aathira 🙂 Btw, you’re back after a long time, where have you been all these days, girl??
Yummm, the Dosai looks so delish..I want to reach out and take a bite!!!
Hee hee, thank u Trishna!
are when u guys can kill Sadi etc and make SaRee we can kill DOSA also no 😛
